About Windram Art

Welcome to Windram Art

Artist Ingrid Windram, opened Windram Art Gallery soon after deciding to make Broome, Western Australia, her home in 1992.

The Gallery proved to be a very popular destination for Locals, and Visitors alike, as it offered a wonderful selection of Original Paintings and Prints, which had been inspired by the inspirational Kimberley landscape.

Expanding on this, in order to reveal her more creative work, and demonstrate the depth of her training, Ingrid separated the two aspects of Art that she has currently chosen to pursue, detailed expressive work, mainly centered on landscape, and exploratory work, which is used to explore imagination, techniques, colour interaction, and  including abstraction and minimization.

The Windram Art website features Ingrid's Artwork, with the main body being devoted to her traditional work, whilst under the heading of the Storm Lily Range, for those seeking something different, is a collection of her work representing the creative side and signed Arija, so as to differentiate the two disciplines

As a full time Professional Artist, Ingrid prefers to spend lengthy periods of time in areas that she finds inspiring, some of which have been The Coorong, Flinders Ranges, and River Murray in South Australia, Broome with extensive travel and camping throughout  the Kimberley regions of Western Australia along with cultural overseas travel to provide an intensive look at the world around her.

She is currently living and working in Vasse WA towards her forth coming Joint Exhibition with Josh Windram, to be held at Jahroc Gallery, Margaret River on 27th December 2019.
